In an effort to increase my income and decrease my spending, I tried mystery shopping. I was extremely skeptical at first.

Are these companies really going to pay me to shop in their stores? The answer was, Yes.

I signed up for a few companies that provide mystery shopping services and I started receiving e-mails about mystery shopping jobs in my area.

The jobs I started to receive ranged from $10-$25. For example, to secret shop a grocery store I received $5 in free groceries and was paid $5. I also secret shopped a lighting store in my area and was paid $15. My husband and I did a secret shopping job together at a restaurant. We each ordered a drink and had some appetizers and were reimbursed $25.00, which included gratuity. It was nice to have some time together and not have to pay for the drinks and food. We had a fun great time with it.

Mystery shopping has been another great way to increase our income. I have been able to accept the jobs that work for me and I have been able to bring my son with me on the majority of the jobs I accept.

If you are looking for another source of income, I would recommend Mystery Shopping.

There are so many companies that provide mystery shopping opportunities. The hardest part of the job is finding which companies you should sign up for. I would recommend recommend subscribing to an online directory that will put all the secret shopping companies in one place for you and let you know which companies are the best to work for. It is a great way to start!

CashCrate Is My Favorite GPT Site

Through the month of August, I have tried a few new GPT sites. I have to admit that I do not like any of them as much as I like CashCrate.

CashCrate confirms faster then any other site that I have tried, CashCrate pays out at $10.00, and CashCrate's site is by far the easiest site to navigate through.

I received my second check from CashCrate last week. I was so excited to take it to the bank I forgot to take a picture of it. So I have taken a picture of the check stub. I earned $26.56 last month with CashCrate. More then last month and that was my goal!

In addition to CashCrate being easy to complete offers it also has a great referral program. If you know anyone who is looking to make some extra money and you refer them to CashCrate, you earn 20% of their earnings, and 10% of the earnings of people that they refer. Okay, today is the first of the month and I am excited. July's earnings were good. I earned $29.19 from Inbox Dollars and $26.56 from CashCrate. July's Earnings Totaled $55.75! Not bad for a few hours of work.

This month I am hoping to try Two New GPT sites. Yesterday I signed up for Fairy Tale Treasures. I am looking forward to seeing how this site works. I have high hopes for this site because a few of my referral sources have done well with Fairy Tale Treasures.

I will keep you posted on how I like Fairy Tale Treasures. I will also add the pros and cons of this site to the, What Free Online Paid Survey Site is Right for You, section of my blog.

I am hoping with the addition of Fairy Tale Treasures, I will make $75.00 in August. I guess only time will tell. I'll keep you update!

I Got Paid From CashCrate! Proof of Payment

I have to admit I was nervous and was not sure that they would send the check. But they DID!

I received my first check today in the mail from CashCrate.

I started CashCrate on June 28th and spent about 1 to 2 hours completing their free offers in the month of June. I earned $12.15 in June for 1 hour of work and received payment today.

This month I have continue to work with CashCrate and have more then doubled my last months earnings so far. I have also been checking out other paid survey sites as well that I will be posting information about soon.

1. Easy site to navigate through and use;
2. Free;

5. CashCrate has a ton of 100% free offers;
6. Daily Surveys pay out is $0.80.

1. They do not offer the option for you to cash out via Paypal. Checks are typically cut on the 20th of every month (if your earnings for July were $25.00, your check would be sent out to you are the 20th of August);
2. I have not always qualified for their daily surveys.
3. This site primarily provides you with 100% free offers not true surveys with the exception of the daily surveys. I go through the offers and check the "No Thank You" box and still typically receive payment because I have completed the offer even though I have not selected any of the products.

Inbox Dollars - 3 Stars

Pros
1. Easy site to use and navigate through;
2. Free;
3. Offers $1.00 for their daily surveys and I have qualified for a survey everyday this month so far. Surveys are also credited to your account within 1-2 business days;
4. They also offer 100% free offers which pay from $0.50 to $1.00;
5. Offers paid emails in addition to the surveys and offers.;
6. $5.00 sign up Bonus.

Cons
1. Pay out is $30.00. I typically like a site that pays out at$10.00;
2. You receive $5.00 for every referral. However, your referrals will need to earn $30.00 and request a check before you will be credited the $5.00 referral bonus;
3. Does not offer as many 100% free offers as other paid sites.

In my opinion this site is great for the daily survey, which pays $1.00. However, this site does not have a good referral program. The lack of a good referral program is why I have rated this site with 3 stars. If you are not looking for a site with a good referral program, I would highly recommend this site.

Inbox Dollars Reviewed

I started using Inbox Dollars at the beginning of July and I am very impressed! This again is a free site to use. You will receive a $5.00 Bonus for signing up.

This site has several ways to earn money available to you. My favorite ways to earn money on Inbox Dollars are Paid E-mails, Daily Survey that pays $1.00 per survey, 100% free offers surveys, and daily searches.

Paid E-mails are a great way to add to your payout. Inbox Dollars will send you e-mails to open. All you have to do is open the e-mail and verify that you have actually opened it. This may take 10 seconds. I have found that occasionally a paid e-mail will be an offer to take a survey through Inbox Dollars for $1.00. Which will also help you build your total payout.

Daily Surveys is something that most paid online survey companies will offer. I have tried a handful of other survey companies and to date I have had the best experience with Inbox Dollars' daily surveys. $1.00 payout per survey is great. The $1.00 is always reflected in my earnings within 1-2 days. I have been able to complete a survey everyday this month without a problem.

100% Free Offers is something else that most paid online survey companies will offer. Inbox Dollars has approximately 2 pages of 100% free offers. I have tried a few and been credited within 1-2 days. Another great way to increase your total payout.

Daily Searches is something that I had never come across before. You are paid .02 when you make an internet search through their suggested search engine. You are allowed 2 searches a day. Now this will not make you rich, but it does add to your total payout and does not take very much time at all.

Of all the online survey companies I have tried to date, Inbox Dollars is my Favorite online paid survey site. There are multiple ways to earn money with this site. You also see your account credited within 1-2 days after completed a task. I would highly recommend this site.

This week has been extremely busy and I have not had a lot of time to concentrate on my surveys. However, I have been trying a new company that I like even better then CashCrate. It is Inboxdollar$.com.

I will be writing a review on Inboxdollar$.com soon. They pay $1.00 for the daily surveys and you get a $5.00 bonus for signing up. And of course it is free to sign up. This is my favorive site so far.

Right now I am concetrating on completing the daily survey for the three survey companies I am trying, adding to my blog :) , and learing from the forums as well as adding input where I can.

Its about 7:00am in the morning and I am starting my first journal entry.

Today will be a busy day for my son and I. We are part of a Stroller Strides fitness class that takes place at the local park. It is a way for Moms to exercise with their children. We have both made a lot of friends through this program. After that the kids have a trip to the local fire department. My son is only 21 months but I think he will like this.

I will have to get most of my surveys done at his nap time today.

My Goals For Today
1. Complete the daily survey for the three survey companies I am currently trying out;
2. Complete 5 paid surveys on CashCrate and SwatCash;
3. Post 5 times in a forum (I can't find a forum that I relate to - any ideas?).

SWATcash Reveiwed

SWATcash is the second online survey company that I have tried. This an army themed paid survey site. It is FREE to join and try out.

I found the site a little difficult to navigate at first. So, I concentrated on their available offers. I sorted the offers by 100% free and most popular. SWATcash had close to 100 offers that fit into this category.

I completed a 11 surveys. With each survey time varying, but typically ranged from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. With 11 surveys completed, I had earned $6.50 and had $8.00 in pendings. It seem to take a while for the completed surveys to confirmed to actual earnings. Cashcrate seemed to confirm faster.

SWATcash also offers Circadian Mission (daily survey) for $1.00. Complete a daily survey all month and that would add up.

I will need to earn at least $15.00 before I can cash out. SWATcash offers payment via Paypal or via check and is paid out around the 15th of every month. I will keep you posted on how my earns grow with SWATcash.

Prior to Starting Online Surveys you Should Have...

There are two easy things I would recommend you doing prior to starting the online surveys. Get a survey e-mail account and get a survey phone number. Both of these things can be done in less then 10 minutes and are FREE.

I would recommend a gmail account, which is free. Almost every survey will require you to enter an e-mail account. Don't fill your personal account with all these e-mails create a separate account.

I would also recommend a survey phone number. I have a voicemail phone number through Netzero. It took me all of 5 minutes to set up and it is FREE.

How it works. When people call you voicemail number it will ring as a normal phone and then go to voivemail. The caller will then be able to leave a message. You will be able to retrieve your voicemail by calling your number and entering your 4 digit code from any phone. This will eliminate your home phone or cell phone from receiving unwanted calls. It has been my experience that when you leave your phone number they typically call.

These are two tricks of the trade that I have learned and wanted to pass along to you.

Now that I have been doing surveys and offers for about a month now I wanted to add to this section of my blog.

Things I continue to Learn.

I have had a bad experience with inserting my cell phone number into offers. I received my cell phone bill recently for last month and there were two $9.99 charges on my bill. I guess somewhere in the small small print it stated that I would be charged if I input my cell phone number. My cell phone provider reversed the charges, but it was a hassle. I would recommend staying away from these offers. There are plenty of other 100% free offers out there to complete.

I would also stay away from the offers that request your social security number. This is private information that you do not want to be giving it out. I have noticed that when an offer requests your social security number there is typical a "skip" or "no thanks" button to bypass that offer and go to the next offer.

CashCrate Reviewed

I am trying different online survey Companies that claim you can get paid to complete offers. Is this a true source of additional cash for my family?

CashCrate was the first Online Survey Company I tried. It was free to join, which was a good start. I thought their website was easy to understand and navigate through. It clearly listed the Company, what was needed (i.e. participate in a survey, fill out a form, etc...), the payout amount, and the cost to you.

It appears that the majority of the offers were free (11 pages of the 13 pages of offers are free to you). I also liked that they had a fairly active forum. A great way to talk to other users.

I choose my first survey. The payout was $1.00 and the cost to me was $0.00. With nothing to lose I started the survey. It took me about 5 minutes to complete the survey which was actually quite painless. I refreshed the CrashCrate website and the page reflected my June's earnings at $1.00. I was amazed!

I started participating in surveys on June 29, 2007. I spent about 2 hours a day on June 29th and 30th participating in the free surveys. On June 30th, I had earned $12.15 and had $20.55 in pending offers.

Since I have earned more then $10.00, I should be sent a check this month. I will keep you updated. I am also interested to see how long it takes for the $20.55 to become earnings.
